CANSEE and ICA are Hiring!

Two new part-time positions are available working with the Canadian Society for Ecological Economics and Indigenous Climate Action. We encourage CANSEE members to apply for and share these two positions widely. Please find brief descriptions of each job below.

Graduate Assistant – CANSEE 2021

The Canadian Society for Ecological Economics is hiring a graduate assistant to support the executive committee with planning and organizing the 13th biennial conference, “Pathways for an Inclusive and Sustainable Recovery”. Responsibilities include tracking and reviewing abstracts, contacting keynote speakers, designing presentation formats, taking notes, and moderating sessions. Successful candidates will exhibit excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills and will be a graduate student over the position’s tenure. Applications are due by November 6, 2020. Indigenous Environmental Research Coordinator – Indigenous Climate Action

Indigenous Climate Action (ICA) is looking for someone with passion, who enjoys working on a team, conducting research, building connections, and is committed to true Indigenous Climate Justice to serve as a part-time Indigenous Environmental Research Coordinator. ICA has been invited to craft an Indigenous Economics Assembly alongside the Canadian Society for Ecological Economics (CANSEE) for the upcoming biennial CANSEE conference (May 2021) in order to shape the conference discourse to effectively prioritize a collaborative approach. The Indigenous Economics Assembly will be the main priority of the Indigenous Environmental Research Coordinator, alongside the oversight and management of ongoing ICA projects that may prove relevant for conference presentations, workshops, keynotes or other content.
